WEEKLY TEAMS
Outside of Thursday Night Training we hold weekly teams run by officers, seniors and civilian volunteers. These teams go into depth of skills cadets learn during Thursday Nights. Teams are often held at the Armoury unless stated otherwise, please be sure to check the website every week for any cancellations or updates.
Marksmanship
September -June
Marksmanship Team allows for cadets to learn and hone their shooting and range skills. As a cadet keeps practicing and improving their skills they can earn badges to display on their uniform. Some cadets with enough practice and dedication move forward to Marksmanship Competitions.
Mondays — 1630-1930hrs
the following dates are specifically for certain cadets; please read through:
Jan 5th 2026, range is open to competitive marksmanship team only! At regular times.
Jan 12th & 19th 2026, range is open to ALL cadets with an early dismissal of 1900hrs; except for the competitive marksmanship team which will be 1930hrs.
Jan 26th, Feb 2nd & 9th 2026, range is open to competitive marksmanship team only! At regular times.
Feb 16th & 23rd, NO RANGE
Range will re-open for all cadets between March and April.

Drill Team
September - May
Drill Team allows for cadets to practice their stationary and marching drill, learning drill that goes beyond weekly training nights. Drill Team often go forward to Drill competition.
Mondays — 1915-2130hrs, wear comfortable civilian attire (have a T-shirt and appropriate footwear)
Drill Team practices is currently on stand down until further notice. If you have any questions, reach out to your chain of command
Not accepting new cadets at this time, only the selected cadets on the team are to come to practice

Recce
April - May
Reconnaissance (Recce) Team allows for cadets to learn survival skills that are often used during Field Training Exercises (FTXs).

Pre-para training
October - December
Pre Para trains cadets to be physically ready to be eligible for the Pre-Parachute Course in the spring.

Fitness Team promotes physically moving and encouraging cadets to get physically Active.

September - May
In band cadets get to learn instruments and improve their musical ability. Earn badges, take part in competitions, and play in a marching band.

First Aid
February - April
First Aid Team allows for cadets to learn standard First Aid and practice those skills with each other and potentially moving onto receiving their standard First Aid License.
